Marathon / Design Manager
Marathon (Consoles) is a reboot of Bungie’s classic first person shooter that debuted on the Apple Macintosh platform in the 90s. While it has been formally announced, it has not been released as of writing.
My role as Design Manager on Marathon was to oversee a large design team, including hiring many new staff, coaching and 1:1 mentoring, aggregating and reporting team health issues, collating risk reports and managing the multiple yearly performance reviews for my direct reports. In addition, as part of the Marathon Managers group I worked closely with other discipline managers, and with the Bungie Design Manager group across all active projects at the company, to help with high-level management issues and initiatives.
